Pep In Your Step

Circumstances forced me To step out of my routine So I took my morning walk Right after 2 cups of caffeine. I felt so energetic Anyone I came to face Would have marveled at my fitness, So impressive was my pace. When a stranger made the comment Of the title, though, to me, I just smiled and kept my secret – That I really had to pee!

With so many traffic jams in Honolulu - and the absence of public toilets - , I do not know how drivers dare fill up with a 42-ounce slurpee first! But enjoyed your poem, Ilene! Aloha!

Why is it that we can hold on for ten minutes if we’re ten minutes from home and thirty minutes if we’re thirty minutes from home… but when we get to that little room there’s no holding on. God forbid that the undergarments don’t play ball.
