Penned for the Pleasure of a Georgia Peach

Congratulations on your winning work in Mohan's contest. Way to go. Thank you for reminding me how delicious Georgia peaches are. My mother used to make something she called three story pie. She would make a pie shell, then she would cook some dried peaches with a little sugar, then she would cook some vanilla custard or just custard and whip some meringue. She would put the peaches in the bottom, then some custard, and then the meringue. Of course, bake until the meringue was just right. Sara
