Author's Notes:  "Pearl Dreams of Rare Love " is a co-write / co-authored poem from Gary Bateman and Liam McDaid.  Our purpose with this poem, rendered in 14 unrhymed Tercet sequential stanzas is to portray the ethereal image of a 14-pearl gold necklace (concatenated -- or joined together -- with the finest gold chain).  Additionally, our poetic vision or theme with this write is predicated on the notion that this "14-pearl gold necklace" was actually forged together by both forces from Heaven above and the alchemic magical influence from the deep-salted ocean below on Earth itself.  Liam and I envisioned this write to be quite magical in nature with the metaphor of "Pearl Dreams of Rare Love" being forged by godly forces in Heaven and on Earth and rendered into a most wondrous and brilliant 14-pearl gold necklace.  This necklace, in effect, signifies or is the palpable manifestation representing the poetic notion of "Pearl Dreams of Rare Love."  At least this was our mutual intent with this particular poem.  (Gary Bateman - November 16, 2014) (Terza Rima in unrhymed Tercet poetic format)

Break these chains that bind holding in the deep ovens blazing a fire for love. Smiling midday moon dressed in a baby blue sky with sparsely scattered clouds dot. White mother of pearl their silver lining treasure held soft beautiful warm babe. In her finger beams a light touching inside thoughts sitting posed at three o’clock. The moon just pops out in kissing a golden sun white ivory pearls smiling. Within daylight thoughts sweetly I pray in sunlight shining warm all over you. Deep ocean salted with the bluest warmest waves luster smiles sunshine color. The magic tear drop forms the silver lining bright and cries for ivory pearls. Alchemic water wondrous most blue, dark and rare lies love in Salt of the Earth. Mermaids caress hope encouraging happiness makes all the more magical. Pearl chain links in place Neptune commands do it now with finest gold most smiling. Bathed best and brightest white ivory pearls ready for their concatenation. Neptune’s grandeur finds all sea creatures in awe now abounds pearl dreams of rare love. Pearl Dreams of Rare Love 14 linked all so precious from the ocean’s heart and soul. Demetrios -- Herr Professor!! Wir bedanken uns sehr!! Ihr Kommentar ist sehr hoeflich und ganz wunderbar!! If a lady would wish to meet the author, it would probably be Liam first, since I'm married (for almost 24 years now). However, I could always make myself to meet along with Liam as long as I can drink some very good Red Wine!! (HA HA). We're glad you liked this poem!! Best Wishes My Friend, Gary

"D" -- Thanks!! Appreciate greatly your wonderful comments here. Liam and I manage to team up to do at least one or two of these per week. Although he and I have different writing styles, we do tend to meld our vision and efforts very well when we plan a co-write together. More poems on the way "D"!! Best Always, Gary XOXO

Charmaine, Sorry for the double-posting here!! Neptune just happened to fit well and the traditional connect to Greek mythology. The Mermaids reference had some inklings of Eliot's "J. Alfred Prufrock." Rajat in his note below, did surmise this one correctly. Very glad you liked the co-write here!! Best Wishes Always, Gary

Gary (Thanks for the "7" too!!)

Mermaids caress hope. We find the reference of sea -girls in The Love song of J. Alfred Prufrock. They create hope. The poem smells divine brine. I find the smell. Is the ocean itself the leading character ?:Neptune’s grandeur finds all sea creatures in awe now abounds pearl dreams of rare love. Majestic and magical in treatment pearly in spirit, the whole atmosphere is the sorceress' dream. Thanks Gary and Liam-combination of brilliant minds.Love from the deepest nook of heart for the duoRajat

Rajat, My very good friend!! Yes, You're right here about the reference to Prufrock. Being an aficionado of T.S. Eliot I know well the Mermaids in Prufrock. (This part of the write came from me.) The first six stanzas set the ethereal Heavenly direction, while the last eight focus on the ocean since the pearls, the necklace and all alchemic activity come from there. Hope this helps!! See my notes. Best!! Gary

Anne-Lise, I talked with Liam some minutes ago after posting our co-authored effort here. We actually were influenced by your earlier comment to me today about "Tears are the noble language of he eye -- from the heart and soul." I really appreciate (and Liam does too) your wonderful comments here!! Best Always, Gary
