I saw the moon shining blissfully.
Its shiny luster excited me.
A silvery ball so fine.
I wished it could be mine.
To own the moon how divine.
My yearning could not get higher.
I told my love, of my desire.
He answered with a great big smile.
Gazing at me all the while.
In keeping with his style,
His answer came soon.
“How about a mini moon?”
With love from me to you.
I answered softly, “That will do.”
Giving me an oyster shell shut tight,
In it there was a pearl so bright.
The moon rising made my pearl shine.
Now as for love, he said “take mine.”
