Peace of Mind
Have you seen the soft and fluffy clouds
drifting slowly through the skies,
while you sit and listen quietly
to animals mating cries?
Have you seen the purple twilight
as nighttime starts to show?
Have you seen a million stars appear
and make the sky aglow?
Have you seen the golden moonlight
caress the surging tide?
Have you camped beside a campfire
with your loved ones by your side?
Have you heard a songbird singing
on a quiet summer night?
Have you seen a night-owl flying by
just before daylight?
Have you stood atop a mountain
and gazed out upon the land?
Have you seen some cattle grazing
in the fields so green and grand?
There's so much beauty in this world,
be observant and you'll find,
if you just step back and take it in,
it can give you Peace of Mind!
