Peace Hides in Quiet

Written: June 21, 2025, for contest sponsored by: Mark Toney Checked by HMS.COM / 10-6-7-7 *********** There is a place where my feet—often stray Not sought, but swept retreat. Beyond the known—cold, complete— Truth hides in peace, soft and fleet!

Dear Sotto, this is really lovely—there’s something so calm and mysterious about it. I love how it captures that feeling of drifting somewhere unexpected, like truth isn’t something we chase but something we quietly stumble upon. Good luck in the contest...Hugs

You've crafted an exquisite Englyn--not an easy task. I find the form challenging. Yours is perfect. Best wishes with the contest, Yellow Rose

Ahh what a wise and impeccably crafted poem this is, dear Sotto! You've stated the emotions and truths here in such an eloquent and poetic manner and there's so much depth in every line. So skillfully crafted in a concise yet dense way. "Beyond the known—cold, complete— Truth hides in peace, soft and fleet" Love these lined and the rhythmic flow here is ingenious! Best wishes in the contest, good luck!
