The subject revolves around the various aspects of friendship and the emotions and actions that come with it. The diction in the poem is simple and concise, with each line creating a sense of immediacy and brevity. The rhyme (release/peace, harm/calm, dream/scheme) and alliteration (missing piece, kissing release) create a sense of musicality and rhythm. Unique shape as well. David Kavanagh January 10, 2024 at 2:44 AM One must wonder where it all went wrong for humanity SV, An aspiring message for each of us to ponder here, this form works so well together, the shape is so unique too, cheers David Speaks Volumes January 10, 2024 at 2:54 PM David throughout my life I have pondered that question. I came up with: 1. greed 2. The desire for power 3. ( on a lower lever envy /jealousy. Once those forces take hold : Brutality and Bravado take over, and pretty soon you have a full scale war. I am still pondering a way to divert this from happening. I will let you know when I come up with the answer. I hope it doesn't take another 70 years!.
