I feel comfortable with silence.

I feel at ease in the sanctuary of solitude.

In the stillness of tranquility no sounds

to perforate the placid peacefulness.

No cacophony of chaos clamouring

or jostling for attention, nudging, prodding

queue-jumping - just the quietude of repose.

Door slammed on a commotion of confusion.

Noiseless now. Just a silent lullaby of serenity.

Pin drops and I hear it echoing, resounding

in the calmness of the languid room.

I remain enraptured in a cocoon of neutrality.

Really enjoyable piece Helen, good imagery and insightful thoughts too. I really loved your first line ' I feel comfortable with silence.' this was just what I like and feel this resonates with me. Great stuff and good to meet fellow Brit!
