Notes About The Poem

1/12/2026 for Peace Or Lack Of Piece Poetry Contest sponsored by Karen Jones

Peace

Where man's involved, there always will be war,
and I don't hold out hope for lasting peace.
It's not that violence, I don't abhor.
It's only that, some dreams I must release,
So, I won't get frustrated anymore.
I'll look up and see Canadian geese.
It's in this humble way I can begin
to experience some small peace within.
