~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I see, yet with a trembling ache, burning
through the silence of my rest,
expressions so honest and so distant
reflexes jumbled, testing my heart
will I ever know the music, the melody
rich as the sacrifice of lasting tears,
cried so I can see – despite the sea of screams,
reflecting all that I can’t feel without
agreeing to forget, just forget…
when lives pass through the timeless notes,
journeying beyond the laughing summer
through the hesitant promises of autumn
remembering that winter is nearby,
just a sense of what will soon become
eternity, unfolding in the heart who believes
forever is more than a silent peace,
forever is a beautiful that never leaves,
forever is a warmth that forever heals,
forever is the heart who knows His will…
like a river of hope, flowing through the soul
gentling the thoughts and breaking through the shadows
with wonders, believing that whatever comes
love this amazing will never let me go,
it is beyond my heart’s control – love that is more
more than thought, more than feeling
more than life – His love frees me so I can be
more than a breath who soon fades into the silence,
more than a heart who forgets love is timeless…
I see, yet my heart seeks His peace
and I know what it means to truly see
to be free and to believe
the stars, the moon, all the sunrises and sunsets
twilight’s still breath
nothing on this earth can reassure
like the glorious love that God radiates
through the life of one who sees Him,
the Son who offers life to the believer,
the Son who is more than light or love
more than the hope that calms,
the joy that hushes the heart’s fear,
the music of angels, so sincere
His love is beyond compare
His love is the reason for it all…
the spring, the summer and fall
even winter knows He is worthy
of all the praise, every honor
all my devotion and all my worship
He is worthy of so much more
than I could ever imagine offering,
more light and love,
more joy and faith,
more glory than my hallelujah
could possibly suggest…
He is worthy and I love Him
I love Him – throughout the eternal
I love Him who is so very worthy
He is the rhythm who restores my heart
He is the reason for my soul’s smile
He is the song who flows through my life
He is the wonder who gives me hope
He is the love that grows and grows
He is the One who wipes away my tears,
reminds me that I’m His
and, whatever life might bring – He is with me,
always giving me His endless heartening,
His love satisfies even the worst darkness,
lifting the night so I can truly see
dawn’s sweet light… embracing me with peace.
