To new beginnings... I am back and will be reading your poems etc. Iv missed soup!

I dream
in the golden glow
of a sakura orchid
nestled between blooming browns~
as saffron streaks of sunsets
  spill syllables of l o v e and trust,
scented with sugared crystals,
emitting musical verses
to calm the inner child~
healing in silence
dusted with pastels of p e a c e.

But when the fragrance of
summer wanes,
leaving a heavy horizon
glistening with grieving galaxies,
remember, I am an aching poem
kissed by the garnet green,
refusing to follow
melted moonbeams,
merged with moving monsoons,
and yesterday’s fickle footprints,
that remain,
soaked in rain and tears,
like pixelated promises to the
cracked cosmos,
lost within sand petals,
as nightingales croon
of strife and life,
of cold summers and fleeting colors.

So tonight,
I’ll carve my own b l i s s
from the haze of violet gratitude~
engrossed in trembling ink,
allowing another month
to fade into the ether,
as memories blossom
in blue-black,
staining champagne chalices
with smoke and salt
while somewhere
between fireworks filling up
twilight skies,
rippling with mystic topaz
kissing
the fluorescent stars
sparking across
midnight shorelines,
I found sequins of h o p e
amidst the unattained closure
to the rising of
an inescapable end.
This is the voice of a thistle
reluctant
to
compromise and comprehend
the sound of ticking thunder,
for I am the eucalyptus elixir
   to an alchemist’s waterfall,
weaving odes to the eclipsed time
that sleeps in the cusp
   of liquified lilacs
crawling through
serpentine circles…
as I have found a rhyme to
glamorize every forsaken line,
letting go of bleached pages
that have no
spirit of resilience,
and chapters with
frosted names
that have
no
space for s o l a c e . . .

I love how you ended this. Wanting peace and happiness is a decision that needs fueling of determination, discipline and patience. I always love sticking to positivity even when surrounded with negativity. What you think is what you are and what you manifest. Happy a fruitful new year Emppy.

IE, I love how this poem is so in the moment. It reminds me that we have to make our own sense of peace with the world and our situation in it. Indeed, we all have to "carve" our own bliss from the situation we are in. I'm thinking life is short and no matter what, I like the feeling of inner happiness that you seem so familiar with. Smiles!

You present the duality of life in such a telling way. After a break, you have come once more with stunning lines and dazzling images. Your metaphors dance across the whole poem evoking the ephemeral and fleeting emotions of joy and fulfillment contrasted with the actual human experience of disappointment and pain. A brilliant poem going deep into one's poetic heart. Dear Empress, at the start of the New Year, let me take a moment to thank you for being an incredible source of encouragement to me extolling my simple poems and being a source of endless inspiration all through 2024. Have a great year ahead.

"So tonight, I’ll carve my own b l i s s from the haze of violet gratitude~ engrossed in trembling ink," -- Very visual, and emotionally stirring. "for I am the eucalyptus elixir to an alchemist’s waterfall, weaving odes to the eclipsed time" -- Wow. Very creative imagery.

Dearest Ink, You wrote an excellent poem that delves into themes of healing, resilience, and the profound emotional journey of a person dealing with loss, nostalgia, and the passing of time. It contrasts moments of beauty and delight with the agony of remembering and the certainty of change. The poem uses beautiful imagery of nature, notably flowers and heavenly components, to represent emotions. It reflects on personal experiences, juxtaposing moments of joy with grief and uncertainty, and seeks consolation and optimism in the face of life's difficulties. The rich and expressive language uses sensory images to paint a vivid emotional world. Words like "sakura," "saffron," "sugared crystals," and "violet gratitude" elicit powerful visual and olfactory responses. The poem's emotional dualism is emphasized by using opposing hues (golden, brown, garnet green, and blue-black). I hope the new year is treating you well, and I wish you the best. Sending you many jolts of light and hugs.
