Passion
Fleeting rainstorms arouse a scent of natural
redolence.
Lightning reminds us of its power,
Thunder cracks our ears in remembrance of scary
childhood sounds
And emotions run as deep as the crack of a
tsunami.
We are carried along, swiftly raised,
As if by tidal wave and lowered. . .
Then taken again, as if by whirlwind,
To higher heights! Only to be returned
By the swirls of an eddy!
Tornadoes, typhoons, hurricanes, all,
Thrash water upon the shores
To remind me of your passage
Through these encompassing limbs!
