Passing Me By
Here I sit, watching the people outside,
Watching them converse and live their lives.
A smile touches my lips though it's only
For a fleeting moment before it's gone.
My fingers dance across the smooth glass
Before they make marks and I wipe them
Away.
Here I am, watching them through
The window. Watching teem live a life
That I know I can never
Have.
