Party Blues

Does it really matter who's President Raggedy Ann or Andy? Great promises are made, but after voting is complete, the lies become quite concrete, cementing our future that applies to both parties of deceit. Sept. 2, 2018

Thank goodness, I'm a world away from politics, preferring poetry. For example, yours, Connie)

Hi Connie, so true, it doesn't matter, for they all lie. The big promises, they get into power and then, they do an about turn on the promises or swear they never made them. It's the same everywhere. Well penned my friend. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs....Mike. XX

Thank you Mike. Wish I could transport myself to Scotland to see the leaves change color. I would treasure fall. Blessings, Connie : )

There have been more fabrications. I think that is what Trump was referring to during campaigning as his construction program.

Sadly, this happens every election cycle. Why do we allow it to continue? "That applies to both parties of deceit" What a truthful line, Connie

Politicians depend on promises for their votes, but if they don't deliver, it is up to the voter to make sure that they don't get elected again. It is a pity that often there is not much to choose from! Regards // paul

Politicians are politicians, no matter who they are or what side they profess to stand on. It is always all about them and never about us...you know, the voter. : ) Nicely said Connie.

....OH-OH---now you've gone and ticked everybody off......they use "blinders" on horses to keep them from seeing what's going on around them and to focus them in the direction they want them to go...sorta like political rhetoric...

Yup, that is how it goes. That is why I don't follow politics too closely. I don't discuss religion nor politics with anyone. Nice rhymes and rhythm dear Connie. Have a great day.

There is an HUGE difference, e.g., if given only the choice of bringing home to mama Donald Trump or anyone else, who would you choose? Even HRH would prefer Davey Crockett to Trump! Bonne chance! Aloha! Rico

No, I just get so tired of the political scene. I never write about politics or discuss it, but this short poem just came to me and thought I would share it. Thanks. : )

Politics of today deserves no respect...we know it so well, but we vote for them anyway. Your poem shines the light..perhaps there is another way. An apt theme, Connie..given the elections soon.
