Partial Solar Eclipse -- Austin 30 May 1984

There was a solar eclipse today. Only partial, but enough to make you want to look. It made me sad. I didn't have a piece of smoked glass or ultra-dark Ray Bans, and certainly not a solar scope. Looking up, I saw the sun flash through leaf-made pinholes waving in the breeze. Disappointed, I looked down,... and discovered a thousand crescent suns dancing at my feet.

A poem of wisdom. Nicely penned the message. Regards, Roy

Roy. Thank you. The experience really touched me. I was unhappy that I didn't have the "proper" equipment to watch the eclipse directly. When I saw the "crescent shadows" I couldn't believe how lucky I was. You know, natural systems/phenomena rule! Thanks. Vic
