Parents' Enduring Love
As a blessed fruit of my parents’ love-nurture
I bloomed in their caring pasture
Nestled within kindness-venture
Buttressed upon security posture
Around grace and truth-gesture
Fortifying me against apathy’s culture
Of skeptical and antagonistic feature.
Reared up in my parents’ love-enclosure
I bear their legacy with blissful pleasure
In my wondrous orphanage-exposure
While enjoying ministerial pressure
Building lives, each as heavenly treasure
Anchored by love’s wondrous measure
With God’s compassion and grace to assure.
In my heart prevails my parents’ love*, indeed pure
With the Lord’s affection, it does endure
Vanquishing hatred and bitterness’ torture
Defying carnality’s lust of vanity-lure…
To share such love is my mission, verily sure
Fulfilling my part in helping others along comforting-cure
Seized by DAD and MOM’s love-powered procedure.
*Hosea 3:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love … according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel…
