Parasitic Perspectives

Humans is what we are because we have a skill given to us Under a word called metacognition Maybe that feeling of metacognition gives us the opportunity to trust Availing our own thoughts, feelings, and actions Nevertheless, this metacognition becomes slowly solipsistic Selfish in other words, thinking that we are the only ones However, we forget like humans always do, that this isn’t how life should be Another brother sitting in front of you not blood related could be suffering Very anxious, depressed, out of tune, feeling like their feelings aren’t free Even though this is happening, you are never attentive to notice Not through your selfish demise On the other hand, a sister could be talking to you, but you wouldn’t want to focus Each time you hear the word “I” you tune them out because it’s not your “I” Mistaking their story because you weren’t listening, devaluing their experiences Picturing yourself in their shoes isn’t in your agenda, you don’t care about that guy And what makes this crazier is that you as a human expect others to hear you Thinking that a third party has to ameliorate your life by handing out advice Heck no, why would anyone want to help you pull through You only cared about yourself right?
