Palette of Picturesque Pigment

Her persona is like
a portrait
   of picturesque perfection,
embalmed in
  bittersweet lavender,
unseen within depths
of tributaries of elixir.
If only they knew
 the chaos that flows,
constrained in
a confined
  gallery of grief.
Not everyone is
  a master painter.
Some brush with brutal
   bruised strokes,
provoking timeless
streams of
  implicit secrets,
from crimson stains
   on ivory satin,
where scents of juniper
evoke phases of
  unpredicted phenomenons,
oblivious to chronicles
of forsaken tales,
which hide
  beneath barriers,
many have struggled
to venture within.
But there is an artist
with a
  pastel on his palette,
that can correct
her disfigured pigment.
He holds cryptic
  calligraphic engravings,
veiled behind the inflamed
chamber of her heart.
He understands that her
spirit drowns when
winds are forceful.
How her
  delicateness has
been sleeping
  on withered roses,
wilted by
  cruelest rays of a
summer
  mourning
     morning star,
Where bedtime stories
were puppeteered
    by hurricanes
feeding on
  fenceless vulnerabilities.
yet when
  sleepless silence sings,
it can disturb
in reverberating
heavy metal screams.
So she echoes her trauma
through hurtful hisses,
poisoning with
  vicious venom.
Her aura alters in
  acrimonious attitudes
from serene sunshine
  to furious gales.
She remains without
a grip on untamable
seasons of
  unholy torture,
Only he knows the poem
in her eyes is the
   last train home,
so he calms her
  tempest temperament,
enabling hidden rainbows
in her mind to reappear.
He is a soothing
  gemini night-flower,
even with outcries
of midnight thunder,
his patience resembles
   raining jasmine water,
   purifying
     her murky waters,
into a crystallised milky-way
of kyanite desires,
guiding her
   to swirl and swoon
into
    whirlwinds of closure.

Hi Empress, I run short of words to praise this work of art. Not every one is an artist and not every poet is a poet. But you are with 'a pastel in your palette that can blot out all disfigured pigments' and create rain bows. This romantic poem reflects the poignany of a burning heart and the soothness of balm poured over a flaming volcano. Wonderful and into my FAVE. Congratulations on your top win.

Ink, oh my giddy aunt.. this is.. well, there are no words really. You should find an audio for this it deserves it! You have the knack of reaching in and pulling out emotion I thought had vanished: "Where bedtime stories were puppeteered by hurricanes feeding on fenceless vulnerabilities" I don't know how you do it, but it's brilliant. And a Shakespeare quote too :)))

oh this is so romantic... you write romance so well, just as proficiently as you write your darkness ones... so many lovely lines in your romantic musing here, do not know where to start with the praise.. Not everyone is a master painter. Some brush with brutal bruised strokes... yes you are right, not everyone knows how to love properly or to handle certain people, you need the right artist.. and i really liked the line about Gemini night flowers... simply beautiful poem..

Woww, you never cease to impress me with such spellbinding and whimsical wordsmithery which compels me to waltz in the depth of these poetic emotions.. The way you've written about a love, which isn't perfect but divine & heavenly in forms.. Where the beloved is like a sweet zephyr who knows how to calm the raging storms of her heart..I'm enchanted by your eloquent descriptions, imageries and metaphors.. Also the adjectives and alliteration, so profound! Every relationship has highs and lows but

But what matters is, staying together for each other throughout and until the end..! To find someone who actually understands our silence, is really the one we should cherish n treasure.. I love so many lines here "Not everyone is a master painter. Some brush with brutal bruised strokes", "But there is an artist with a pastel on his palette", "Only he knows the poem in her eyes is the last train home", "He is a soothing gemini night-flower" Ahh, I'm a huge fan of your poems, Ink!!! This one's really magnificent.. Every line I adore! Best wishes for the contest :)
