Pain- the Destiny of Man

Pain, excruciating pain Gripping spine, disabling Till vigor and strength drain Prayers you chant and Hymns sing Hospital, Doctors, MRI’s and X-rays Cash, Debit Cards, depleting bank account Money vanishes, but pain stays Nothing could misery surmount Calves stiff, nerves sore Walking with stick, still in pain Whoever said, whoever swore “Pleasure and pain are links of a chain” Sad poems, heart-wrenching news Failed love, desertions, betrayals Pain intrudes with or without excuse No distinction in paupers and royals Pain is the destiny of man It is a heartache or pain in spine Man's birth is through pain and death from pain Gripping like fog the life's sunshine You wish and pray it goes It cures, soothes nor heals With time it grows and grows Till death your life steals

Pain whether it is emotional, physical, or mental is not comfortable..I feel that here you speak of emotional though..We all suffer from time to time but some suffer for a lifetime with mental or emotional or physical pain which is very sad..Thanks for the kind review of my work..Sara

Thanks for visiting my poem and your kind comments. You are so right in guessing it is the emotional pain I have spoken about. Most often it doesn't leave one till death. Love. -Mohammad

I see below this is your story, hard to believe when I look at your picture! You look wonderful and I am sorry if you have such terrible pain to deal with. I truly hope there is some healing somewhere for you. I have chronic pain in one area of my back and my doctor recommended Botox injections for it. It numbs the area and maybe healingcan set in when it is relaxed. Check it ut on the net and see what you can find or contact me.

Thanks for visiting my poem. I am sorry I am responding to your comments of April 20 today as somehow it wasn't communicated to me. What your searching eyes have seen in my poem is right. It is indeed my story. The first part is now over after undergoing Spinal Stenosis operation. But the second part perhaps is destined to stay till I live. Tell me what happened to your back pain. Did Botox injection work? I hope it did.

Ah my friend, I think it exists to remind us we are still alive. After all, if we were pain free we would thing we had "died and gone to heaven". One of the nasty things in life to remind us of how helpless we really are against it. Such a great write on the subject.

What a wonderful comment you have written elizabeth. Yes, if we were pain free we would think we have died. It confirms my view that life is an endless pain. Thanks for your appreciation. Best wishes. -Mohammad
