Pain

from the limpid pools of her eyes, hot drops run down her swollen red cheeks — quivering, breaking, burning every fiber of her heart

Powerful words to externalize some of the inner pain, but nothing is worth your tears, dear friend. I apologize if I miss some of your wonderful work because I'm traveling and have limited coverage. With best regards

Those hot tears give way. Without them we might explode. Excellent tanka!
