Pain

Pain is a feeling that I feel every single day,
not knowing where or how bad it will be is the worst,
feelings are apart of life everyday.
But, why is it that I will always feel pain first.
It's quite simple you see, I am sick yet you can't look at me and tell,
I don't have any sickness that can be seen by the naked eye,
As for some days I wanna curl up in a ball and just yell.
as you must guess that doesn't make it better so in the bed is where I lie.
Pain comes in many ways and degrees,
like any other feeling you must let it take its course,
dealing with pain isn't an easy task you see.
Back and fourth from Dr. to Dr. to try to find the source,
Does get old but you see I have to live a life in pain.
Pain is just that a feeling that takes parts of your life away,
Pain is how I live my life each and every day.
Some days are better than others, and some are worse and makes my days that much longer.
Pain is also a body's way of letting you know that something is wrong,
and some seem to think that pain will make you stronger.
Pain doesn't define who I am or what I do, I live my life to keep busy so that the pain doesn't stop me from being just that ... ME.

Rita, thank you for sharing. I used to have a lot of pain, and I mean in buckets and bushels. I had to stop thinking of it, so I began writing it down, and I wrote a lot of it away. Then I began helping others who had more pain, and it began disappearing little by little. You would be amazed at how many people could use your help. It is a great way to help yourself. I am sending you blessings. Welcome to Poetry Soup!
