Pacific Coast Highway

California oceans live in my heart driving along the familiar coast From one city to another signals change and meander oh how those moments resonate inside an ache of longing The pelicans and seagulls waves crashing along the sand crowded piers and restaurants surfers changing near their cars Every beach is different from Redondo to Huntington Long Beach and San Pedro and everywhere in between Each place a blurred memory haunting within like chimes in the wind surely a part of me remains somewhere along that old PCH

Take me back home Anita. I grew up in the locals of this poem. The Redondo Beach pier was one of my fav' hangouts. Sipping margaritas at Tony's then strolling over to Concerts by the Sea and absorbing some jazz. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this lovely poem.
