P-C Numbers Thirty-nine AND FORTY
P.C. # 39
=======
Out in the Ranch I'm-a wranglin' words,
Though the cattle are gone,
Not a one herd
The lowing and whispering wind in the sage
Blows softly a new year, another new page
I chased the challenge, and I did my best
Under the stars in the heart of the West
My cowboy said "Ride," so I mounted my steed
Chasing the wind as I galloped with speed.
I'm nearing the end of this exhausting ride
I smile, my cowboy is right by my side
P.C. # 40
=====
Changing seasons on the Ranch
The Paloverdes pruned
But some things, like true lovin' hearts
Are always finely tuned
From the settlin' in this place
The warmth of smiles and love's embrace
The desert dust is settling
I tie my horse to post
And click my heals and raise my cup
To poetry I toast!
My muse is near, she takes a bow
All through this night we've galloped through
I kiss my darling cowboy's head
Let's grab some grub, Cowboy, nuff' said
THE END YEEEEEHAWWWW!!!!!!!
Happy New Year in nineteen minutes!
