Oz and His Wizardry - Wiz

OZ AND HIS WIZARDRY He sat in a booth Concealed from prying eyes 'Till Toto discovered the truth And brought Oz down to size But Toto had an assistant That no one ever saw This helper kept his distance And hid in the scarecrow's straw When the time had come to reveal Oz and his work of art Toto could no longer conceal The little mouse named Bart Bart dodged under the door Where the Wizard of Oz controlled All of the trumped up lore And the story that it told There wasn't a tornado No good nor bad old witch They were all illusions Controlled by Oz's switch He flipped the switch to 'On' And the events that Dorothy faced The things that we were shown Never did take place But oh the legacy left behind Since Oz fooled the world Is unlike any you'll find As that of a little Kansas girl 31 October 2018 For the contest sponsored by Charles Messina

Thank you, Eve. I have so many contests entered that I lose track of them. I am working on my second book and just about the time I think I can go to press, somebody sponsors a contest, I enter it....lol....and wait to see if I place or not so I can decide if I want to put it in the book.

Thank you, Charlie --- for the contest, and the win. I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas. You already know how much I have come to value your friendship and encouragement. Friend is not a word I take lightly, and though I have many acquaintances, I only have a few friends. You, of course, are on the 'friend' list.

Eve, I am so sorry I am just now getting around to replying to you. I usually allow two days to pass before I say anything on Soup because many of them may not understand the difficulty and they all end up in my lap wondering what just took place. Thanks for your vote of confidence. The next time I will be in need of someone who can read my trembling hand writing.
