Today my husband had no radiation treatment so we took  bus trip to Crosby in Liverpool to see some of the 100 Iron Men statues which face out to sea and are dotted along a 2 mile stretch of Crosby beach - they were created by Anthony Gormley and are based on his body. I had to write a poem about what a toddler said when she stood next to one to have her photograph taken

Dear Jan, That toddler’s comment totally made my day! It’s amazing how little ones have a way of cutting right to the truth with such innocent humor. Those iron statues definitely have a way of sparking some unforgettable moments art and laughter all rolled into one. Blessings, My Dear Jan, Daniel

Aah.."Another Place" We love to catch a train to Waterloo Crosby and walk among what must be one of the best examples of of public art in the UK in my opinion. I love to see the statues disappear when the tide claims them. I'm glad you both enjoyed it and good news that your husband didn't need radiation treatment this time. Kids rarely have filters do they? They just say what they see :) Cheers - Gary

oh yes I got some full frontals complete with barnacle growth - hubby called it Barnacle Bill lol lol - they have been in situ since 2007, they were all originally on pedestals and about 6 foot tall but have sunk in the sand - you will have to google to see the other side lol. some of the statues have t shirts on etc, i guess in 100 years there will be few left as they are iron and will corrode with the salty water. it was such fun seeing them though! hugs jan x
