Out of Ideas

Out of Ideas I’m suddenly out of inspiration she said, There’s not one thing rattling around in my head. I can’t find even one vague little notion, To start my creative wheels in motion. Maybe Ill go to unexplored places to walk, And stop with some intriguing strangers to talk. If I could start just one little glow, Perhaps a grand vision would suddenly grow. I’m told you should write about what you know, Hey, I think something may be starting to flow. Ill write about not finding ideas or feelings to share, Perhaps my friends in the “ soup” have been there.

Yes, we have all been there, (too often for me), there are times when I'm afraid I'll never get another thought worthy to write about. But then, somehow, out of no where, something comes back. I just hate those days, though, when I come up empty....and it can last for quite a spell. It must be a common thing for all of us. (Well...maybe not?!!) Hang in there...Love, Carrie

That happens with me all the time. Trust me, you're not alone. By the way, excellent series of couplets. Nice rhyme flow. Thanks for the kind sentiments on my last poem. Milt

I am there with you on this piece. No inspiration to hold on to, just vagueness. I found myself searching and then it came. Sometimes its all before us. Thanks for your wonderful comments.

Barbara - The form of this poem is "couplet" - and a very well penned couplet I must say - To me a poem is like a seed that starts to grow in to a beautiful plant that you just can't help but share with others - This poem is a beautiful seed with-in its self - A lot of the poems I write are inspired during comments I am leaving on others poems - God Bless

This has a great flow to it and speaks well of the writer's block that we all so seldome encounter. MIchael

Nice and amusing little couplet Barbara (though I know it not in the least amusing when we get blocked!). Thanks, as always, for your support and comments. Love, Nigel
