Out of Darkness Into Light

Once I lived in the dark of night
trapped by sin, despising the right.
Habits of sin darkened my soul,
And my poor body paid the toll.

Wounded, weak, wanting to be whole,
I felt a struggle in my soul.
I strove to give to God my will,
while Satan tried my soul to kill.

Jesus, my Savior took control,
rescued my soul, and made me whole.
Now I walk in heavenly light,
daily, delighting to do right.
