Ouroboros

do not look for me
among gravestones by black attire
   once chiselled ergo sum
but instead a mother’s arms
a womb from whence laid cobble stones
I paved in tears, in many strides
and tread along forever
then glistening bud
and falling leaf
find me somewhere in between
where I’ve sat
among scenes of many views
the hourglass and all its sand
a grain within grains, find me
and shall not all ends
deliver all beginnings

Clive, your poem beautifully explores existence beyond gravestones and black attire. It traces a journey from a mother's arms, through tear-paved strides, to the eternal cycle where glistening buds and falling leaves intertwine. A profound reflection on the continuum of beginnings within ends. Loved Reading! - Blessings, Daniel

Sigh, this feels like a deeply soul-stirring write. Somehow, the sense of ache and melancholy resonates with me & strikes my heart.. So beautifully you've conveyed profound emotions where we are in nothingness yet our essence is like a fleeting dust, scattered everywhere. "I paved in tears, in many strides and tread along forever then glistening bud and falling leaf" Ahh, so heartfelt and those opening lines too.. A fav for me, impeccably written..

A gloomy thought... a cobblestone walkway made of mourning tears. You are quite skilled at showing instead of telling, Clive. We cannot prevent the sand from sifting, but we can face reality with the most positive attitude we can muster. Always a moment of poetic enlightening to read you.

Moving and heartfelt write on memories and time, especially the opening lines for some reason made me sad, its soul hitting and so very poignant. I love the flow of this and also the ending is brilliant! Powerful write
