Our Secret Rendevous

May 20th, 2014

Here I am after a long time away. What can I say?
My only excuse is that the demands of life simply got in my way.
I must say I feel guilty for neglecting you - leaving you
waiting, locked away in our secret place.

It seems I come to you more often when I am down.
How selfish of me!
Yet! you never complain, and continue to allow me to dump
all my troubles and woes on you as I attempt to cleanse my soul, leaving you
to carry all my burdens.

You - who know me better than anyone - you who are always
there when I need you.
I come to you today just to tell you how much you mean to me, my
friend, dear diary.

Elaine, my diary has been my best friend since I was 13. I have 3. At times, I forget to write her, and tell her about my days. She is my dear friend. Listens, and lets me cry, and share all my secrets with her. I named her Jewels, one, two and three... LOL.. A deep write, I am sure your friend understands. awesome write...Linda

Dear Lainie, What a shame you missed the contest. I was captivated and wanted to know whom or what you were writing to. You are so skilled; always amazing. Love, Carolyn
