Our Seaside Hol

We stroll along the wave lapped beach, Together, hand in hand, And turn to see a pair of tracks: Our footprints in the sand. The gulls are screaming overhead; The early sun’s still mild; The sea is calm with ripples now - But last night it was wild. We watched the breakers in the storm, As lightning split the sky, And thunder boomed, and rain lashed down, And ships were tossed up high. Today will be a sunny one - Sunbathers paradise, And kids will build sandcastles here… For us, right now is nice!

Knowing you live on the coast, I bet you take many walks on the beach. Just love hearing the gulls "scream" when sauntering beside calm waters. You should see the sandcastle contests they have here! But the ones created by playful children are always such a delight. Maybe we can all share such a walk one day. Awesome vacation poem entry. Pulling for you to win big time! Love, Carolyn
