"free from conditioned belief  no agenda on our shelf vibrant as the light of Self life flows on all by itself” - Unseeking Seeker
Faith is more than a mere noun, phrased within fragile pages of a tailored manuscript; it is a way of life, found in the zestful air we breathe, in the hushed haze of peace and intrinsic love. I bloom like a lotus, floating through silence~ tied to tulip-twinkles of twilight, turning nautical stripes into midnight prayers, sailing through the skyline like a cultural odyssey, facing the eyes of the speechless sun, to untangle brutal tendrils chaining my sapphire spirit to terrains of ashes, smudged with societal lies and narrow perceptions. And as the wind blows cinnamon hymns, I listen to the heartbeat of the horizon, adorned with balmy auroras, ricocheting runes engraved within the pristine pillars that hold firm the hibiscus haven~ a sanctuary that hears not the mantras of megalomaniac meadows, too consumed by stereotypes and prewritten scriptures, curled into clusters of constraints, sprinkling superficial sparkles to hypnotize the naive. O utopian chateau, I choose to soar free, like a peacock plume swirling in sync with the lilac light of falcon fortitude, and the timeless pulse of the Almighty, unshakable from the gusts and gales enveloping my conscience like a maroon maelstrom of misery. I choose to follow the soothing shimmers, of the morning stars, letting go of the tempest of Midas’ touch~ labels and ego, discrimination and darkness, materialism and fickleness, while the icy weeds in my skin unfurl empathy and kindness, aware of sacred states sewn with threads of karma and kundalini. I am the soulful veins of an amaranthine leaf, flawed in fire, embracing the fluorescent frequencies that ebb and flow like waves of wisdom, surfing through fogs of fairy-tears, like sea-glass smoke kissing the porcelain sands of serenity. So, between the melodious mists of the breeze and the blue, there I find a reason to rise and rinse stained ripples, while attuned with the butterfly dews resting upon divine diamonds of blissfulness.

Congratulations on your trophy win Dear Emppy. "I am the soulful veins of an amaranthine leaf, flawed in fire, embracing the fluorescent frequencies that ebb and flow like waves of wisdom. Such brilliance. This piece could only have be written in a different realm. I love the imagery, metaphors and alliterations as always. "enveloping my conscience like a maroon maelstrom of misery." Excellent! That held me on pause. Great writing, great work, great and well deserved win.

Congratulations on a fine, if difficult, poem. Your poems are always the best, integrating alliteration and metaphor. You truly deserved a first place.

"I choose to soar free, like a peacock plume swirling in sync with the lilac light of falcon fortitude, and the timeless pulse of the Almighty," How I wish to write one single line like you in such breadth and depth! This poem is so lovely. I thought of entering the contest and just finished writing. But I feel embarrassed to post it after reading your entry. Mine is so bland and prosaic. "letting go of the tempest of Midas’ touch~ labels and ego, discrimination and darkness, materialism and fickleness," Only one who lets the glimmer of all these go will be able to lead a peaceful and contented life with love and compassion for others, killing ego. Into my FAVE.

"I am the soulful veins of an amaranthine leaf, flawed in fire, embracing the fluorescent frequencies that ebb and flow" -- Love that! Great imagery. Thought provoking work. No one has the real-real answers. Best to choose our own that do the least harm to self and others. Scriptures are so misunderstood...not wrongly...but too often textually interpreted and not truly spiritually. There is often a wide gulf between the two.

Descriptive and creative lines penned. Thanks for sharing this one with us. I wonder where it is that there might be a butterfly now in the cold in our country. Sara K

IE, I do like this. I like how you describe being true to your own perception of what is important in this life. You express a lot of humility in a way, since you are not tempted to deviate by all the enticements that life might throw in your path. It's really a wonderful credo, and it expresses how we are really just visiting here for a short time. The people such as you who truly know and can share what's important are very lucky indeed. I do wish you well and a lot of smiles, of course!

Dear Ink, Your great poetry captures faith as a living force. The poems emphasize self-exploration and spiritual enlightenment, contrasting societal constraints with personal freedom. In a world of thinness and selfishness, inner serenity and empathy and love are also discussed. Your poetry powerfully expresses complex emotions and thoughts with rich imagery and sensory details. Phrases like "cinnamon hymns," "sapphire spirit," and "maroon maelstrom of misery" provide a vivid visual and physical experience for the reader. Using metaphors like "I bloom like a lotus" and "sailing through the skyline like a cultural odyssey," the poem relates spiritual principles to practical sights. Best wishes for inspiration and success.

You ended this on the wonderful note of bliss that he asked for in his line of inquiry. I did this one too, just not posted it yet. I see you have been busy coming up with more lovely imagery. This one really hit me for the way you used assonance: cinnamon hymns. Another favorite: the soulful veins of an amaranthine leaf,
