Our Thanksgiving Prayer
We thank our God* as we praise Him for our redemption
Surely worshipping Him, blissfully jubilant…
Indeed, we gather as a church in joyful celebration
To magnify Him for His wondrous works, greatly triumphant.
We thank our God as His power we seek
Surely doing our best and utmost by His grace…
Indeed, we trust His strength each day of the week
To press toward the mark victoriously in our Christian race.
We thank our God as we ask for His wisdom
Surely fulfilling His will while in His Word immersing…
Indeed, we follow Him through His granted divine freedom
To help advance His kingdom against worldliness that’s perilously enticing.
We thank our God as we beg for His presence
Surely walking with Him amidst righteousness’ fervour…
Indeed, we draw nigh to His altar only by faith’s license
To please Him, exalting His name according to His truth’s favour.
We thank our God as we believe that He can meet our need
Surely praying with diligence of sincere earnestness…
Indeed, we cling to Him; His commands we heed
To continue as good stewards in His faithfulness.
We thank our God as we beg for revival constantly
Surely submitting to His leadership, wondrously loving…
Indeed, we yield to His control obediently
To experience His miracles while humbly serving.
We thank our God as we give Him all the glory
Surely acknowledging His mighty empowerment…
Indeed, we set our hearts for this 41st anniversary
To honour Him in our Gospel-sharing involvement.
*1Chronicles 29:13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
