Our Beloved Jack Ellison Bids Farewell

I got the bad news today, we were loosing a friend.
One of our best Limerick writers Jack Ellison.
Ailments are no surprise when growing older in age.
A new Chapter in Jacks life as he leaves, and turns the page.
His Writings came from his heart, that were written by him.
Witty and silly Jack always left us with a grin.
Many Poet's will be so sad to hear this sad news.
His departure breaks our hearts, and sadly brings the blues.
Jack we all wish you well as you journey on your way.
We'll miss you Jack, but in our hearts you'll forever stay.

Poetry Soup was so gifted
to have Jack Ellison as one
of their Greatest Writers.
We were so fortunate to
have him. He shared in his
last Poem he was leaving.
Please in your comments
tell Jack what he meant to
you. Goodbye my Dear friend,
Happy Trails.

It's a very touching tribute, dear Michael Tor. I am very sad to hear about Jack's demise. You have said it, yet, in a very optimistic manner with a very grand poetical touch. "A new Chapter in Jacks life as he leaves, and turns the page". Amidst the sad news, Congratulations on your POTD.

Benjamin yes it was shocking news to all of Jacks supporters. I got the news from another favorite Poet of mine Tom Cunningham. Tom is such a great friend he keeps track of all of us especially Jack one of his favorites. I have to give credit to Tom without knowing he was leaving I would have not been able to write this Tribute so soon. Thanks Benjamin for your support for Jack, I am sure he appreciates it.

Sadly Jack is retiring but he leaves behind many Poems for us to enjoy and remember him by. Thank you Paula for your comment and caring thoughts regarding Jack. He will be missed...
