Original Poet

Ever since the beginning of time
Man has had a desire to rhyme
And who's to say God's not a poet
Designing the earth as we know it

All the worlds were formed by God's word
There is no doubt His words were heard
For beast and bush, valleys and streams
By His breath were created, it seems

In His word is life and consolation
Offering us a lane to salvation
Solace in glens of our darkest distress
Blessed in His presence and by His caress
