Ordinary-This Is Me
I give you light.
It's not a sacrifice,'cause I'm meant to.
You care for me not, unless, there is darkness.
Then you love me for what I do.
In light you store me away.
My wick hardens from the cold
As the waste of tears solidifies
I think of not loving you, not caring for you.
Whilst I'm on my own I prepare myself for you.
Yet,when darkness ignites
And you heat me with affection,
My insecurities melt themselves away.
I douse the fire within me to burn for you.
I'm yours whenever you want me.
Till then let me build my house of cards of hatred
Readying myself for your breath to come and demolish me.
