Optimistic Perspective

I only tell of sunny hours… With my radiant optimistic perspective Instructing humankind to cheer up As our Creator wakes every one To enjoy life to the fullest. Since I only tell of sunny hours… I expose to people goodness of light For them to spend each day* with wisdom Taking stock of their priorities, Neglecting not gracious relationships. As I only tell of sunny hours… I melt skepticism’s obscurity Showing hope’s brightness Invigorating earth with zest Greeting: “Pleasant day!” Yes, I only tell of sunny hours… After sweet rest in the night. Being a prudent time-device, I’m sundial that reveals How much you have accomplished.
*Psalm 90:12 “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” February 13, 2019 1st place, "LATE FEB 2019..." Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 2/22/2019.
