Optimistic Essence
The abandoned dwelling quivers on the hill
Craving for the morning light to warm her weary walls
The aging clock deep down throbs to keep time real
No sunlight daring enough to dance in through these barren windows
The much endured debris completing the mosaic
A dismal carpet on an inflamed frame
Once a Bird of the wild
Now an empty, forlorn building, without a breath
Suffering tempests in solitude
Every traveler inquisitive
Of her resilience
None aware that this abode prays
For that tarnishing chandelier bolted to the ceiling
To light one last time before the show of life ends.
