Opposites and Differences

Man who loves red Woman who loves pale pink instead Man who sports a truck...the bigger the better Nice plush car with velvety seats Home with plush carpet for soft feet (kept very clean) God as he films this must think what a funny scene For two very opposites arguing over how to spend money When the problem is they have nothing at all in common What makes him happy makes her feel very alone What makes her happy make him feel out of control.. Well do they make it? Only God knows..

funny one mom...so true yet not so true. I like things to be clean but I don't like to clean, I like a truck but I like to be more comfortable than in a truck. etc.

I think opposites attract. This sounds like my relationship. We do not have much in common but we find common ground. I find that we take turns fighting for control over the relationship. You have to learn the give and take and at times I truly wonder how we survived 37 years of marriage. God Bless Phyl

They'll just have to stop making their own desires the top priority. Thanks for your comments on my poem. Daddy didn't have to fight the boll weevil in the North but he had to fight grasshoppers that took evrythijng. Love, Joyce

Make it? Why not? Togetherness (both doing and liking the same things together) can be poison. I once asked an old, old couple, "How can a couple be always together, never apart for more than an hour or two?" The man said, "One is a collie dog." Good brain twister, Sara. Love, daver

Very astute observation, Sara! They can make it, but they will probably never really be truly happy. Thanks for commenting to my blog. I enjoyed seeing your answer. Luv, Andrea

sometimes, the opposites attracting, can actually lead the two,too a unified force unimaginable....unfortunately,most can't do that,as the domineering spirit fights for control....peace,jay

Well, they say opposites attract and I can relate to the scenario you described, Sara. Sometimes these relationships do work, but often they fail. Best wishes, Carolyn
