Opening
The opening line in my story
Gave the reader a nudge
To read the entire tale of prose
To the end that would be golden
The story shook with appreciation
For all the joys they’d found together
Two hearts, two souls, two lives
Bound up into one beautiful thought
The story whispered with imagination
That instructed the reader to dream
And to reach beyond their mere ideas
To the hopes that fall from heaven’s grace
The story was alive with inspiration
To give back to the reader full yearning
For more words and more pages of hope
Discovered within the heart of the story
The story reached into the life of the prose
And hinted at miracles and sweet friendship
Feelings of love that whisper sweetly
To the intimacy that lives within a spirit
The story opened with only one sentence
Powerful enough to conjure up serenity
But gave back to the world a pleasant narrative
Built on soft adverbs and gentle adjectives
The opening line of the tale was poignant
Words that would lift the reader to attention
Drive him on with its everlasting paragraphs
Built on sentences dripping with honeyed serenity
