Opened My Mouth a Little Too Soon

Yes I opened my mouth a little too soon Did not see her come in, felt like a buffoon Apologized up and down, sorry enough too Especially to be caught by my cousin Sue I did not have the facts, lies were fed to me I believed my aunt, whose name was Miss Tee. Her side of the story was not exactly the truth. She was a fibber, my great aunt, she lived on Vermouth. Sue was angry, irritated and just plain mad Our relationship had always sort of been bad. But after that day, we had no kind words at all. And it was my fault, my mouth being loud and tall. I decided right then after being caught in a lie, I would not repeat gossip from now ‘til I die. Unless I had seen the truth with at least one good eye, Uh-oh. What was that I just heard on the wind, floating by?
