Open Your Eyes

sometimes I feel alone in this world,
My mind thinks of impossible wonders,
While my friends think of parties,
at night I would rather stare at the moon,
While everyone else stares at Tv,

so many friends unable to truly understand me,
Not able to express my deepest desires,
Wanting to love god my own way without a religion,
without the fear of disappointing my family

Somehow I have taking a road
That has lead me to discover myself,
While isolating myself in the process,
Realizing how blinded I really was

I have become different,
My soul has become free
Gifted with the ability to see,
While cursed to be alone

Because high school has no room for imagination

It is so nice to see you back on PS. Your introspection in this beautiful write is wonderful. Yes, I too believe that God in not confined in any particular place or thing. Its presence can be felt in each particle within this or in any Universe, but its real home always remains in our heart, mind, & soul. The moment we can realize His presence within our own, we can do wonders and miracles. But this realization is not that easy. Welcome back on PS. Love & best wishes.Ravindra…J Buggs

So is the heart of the dreamer. Church is for the sick not the well, God is not confined to a building or a set religion, God simply is. Excellent piece.
