Open Mike
I am compelled to speak out.
All you claim to any who will listen are but;
Delusions, drawn from a need to be;
More than you think you are;
And you’re right God need be feared for he has his army;
And I with my tongue could cut your words into shreds
For I know of man’s desires and I’ve seen the tracks;
Slithering along the twisted roads of this thing we call life.
It’s supposed that one should pray for your forgiveness;
For after all you are but a human;
Captured perhaps by the darkness of your own inequities;
But beware of your proclamations of grandeur;
Claiming to be Adam the first man;
For Eve if she comes;
In your case is sure to eat that apple.
