Only God Can Fully Change the Heart

A praying man sighs and longs to make amends for his wrongs. He’s reached out for many years, but his pleas fall on deaf ears. Though God has forgiven him, his outlook remains quite dim. He cries out, “How can I make things right? Lord, what would it take? You’ve changed me. Please change them too,” he prayed. “Our closeness renew!” The Spirit led him to see consistent prayer is the key. Impatiently, he waited for angst to be abated. In His own time, God wrought change. Renewed unions, He’d arrange. He caused healing tears to flow. As all the forgiven know, God can fully change the heart. Then we each must do our part.
