Only Courage Needed

Why do you hide from the world?
Your head peering downward at your feet,
As you walk through your daily life;
Thinking no one will ever notice you.

But I've seen the person inside,
Even though you still have doubts.
If you were to lift your weary eyes,
You'd see me gazing back into them.

Nobody was ever meant to be alone,
Though too many feel the solitude.
We could walk this path together,
You only need the courage to take my hand.

Once you took that difficult first step,
You'd feel the warmth I offer freely.
So take a chance down a new road,
And you'll find your way facing forward.
