One way streets

Those one way streets, that lead to dead ends The giving and sacrifice on a way road The words of help echo from ears that don't listen Then a rough road turns in one's own life, nothing is there Where are they? Understanding diminishes in the fog What one can see, another may not and it is dark The worry for those who don't worry about themselves The brick wall of denial, that cannot be broken down All that wears on the soul, as tiredness creeps in There must be boundaries and the signs of teamwork, leading to unity, and peace on two way streets Caring can be accomplished in a special silence, with conversation at a different kind of speed There is only so much care in one's being to release, before their self becomes completely ignored Life is a process of learning, building a safe house board by board Heidi Sands 10/9/24 (C)opyright

"There must be boundaries and the signs of teamwork," -- Hi Heidi. Like you say, if there isn't, there should be. Peace can only come from, meaningful cooperation. Lovely read.

Your frustration and emotional pain is very evident in your poem Heidi. Particularly where many people turn a deaf ear because they don't want to hear the truth. i empathise with you. BTW sorry to hear about your home. Being this side of the world we wouldn't have heard about the train wreck and toxic spill. Thanks for sharing and so sorry for the loss. One must turn over the chapter and start afresh - Never give up. Maria

Thank you very much Maria. It was even harder when the toxins killed my dog. But I am ok. I have started over, after many months of trauma. I will not give up :)
