One Storm
They weather the storm
quietly
patiently waiting for the
chickens to come
home to roost
What's the use in complaining
about the rain
when it only brings
much needed change?
Winds blow fashionably
aggressive bringing an air
of anger mixed with peace
Strange things always happen
when you expect it
the least
These things water seeds
that grow through
everything even
the streets
leaving some torn
The hard times meet you
at a place born
of concrete
cementing emotions
that flow like
ocean water
Deeper still the current
conditions bring
waves that illicit
turmoil
The boiling blood produces
steam for locomotives
that will not
cease nor desist
Ignoring certain traditions
allow you to miss
things that have plagued
generations that
were offered a kiss
A kiss that comes with broken
promises even if
you aren't up on
the gist
The mist intentionally shrouds
the dirty rain
that falls with the intention
of bringing pain
Don't fall for cloudy games
that capture
& bind all of your
inner suspicions
Be aware of the mission
that came before you
knew all of the
things that were missing
Some are kissing the destined
lips that
lead to attrition
without knowing
Frenching but not seeing
it's we as whole
saying yes
without tongues
showing
I digress for now hoping
it won't impede
your progress
but be aware of the
movement to come
