One Peaceful Night of the Year
They came from hither and dither and wither and yon
To camp under the stars on plaid blankets, beasts and a fawn
One night of the year, sharing their hopes and dreams
Under stars who gave them optimistic star beams.
The lion and the lamb brought their best to the party.
The stew was vegetable, but it was salty and hearty.
Animals got along in the absolute most genuine way,
Creatures threw out their habits, the beasts and their prey.
