One Hundred and Seventy Two Ruts
6/20/16
I don't know about you but
I made a few bucks
And continued to do much
New stuff
When I finally grew up
Through what
Was a long journey, with one hundred and seventy two ruts
In all honesty, not all speak the truth enough
And it is sad that so many kids have no access to a toothbrush
As well as an education or school bus
I pray one day the words I chose enliven and enlighten
On any island and side of the horizon
So that senses will be heightened
And futures can be brightened
More than the luster of the world's finest diamonds
During Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn
Often
Had my fair share of problems
Some of which could've left me in a coffin
Which is why I used my noggin
Failure was just not an option
