One Heartbeat (Sijo)

Awakened; from a soft stillness of night dreaming, slowly Watching, Venus the "Evening Star", while humming gentle love songs, Promise filled air sheds a single tear, joined as one heartbeat.

So much said in just three lines. I don't see the sijo form used very often. I have written a few and find them a challenge--a challenge you met nicely in this poem. Thank you for sharing your talent with us and for your kind words regarding my haiku. Keep on writing! Karen
