One Fine Night

One Fine Night
One fine night trapped within the golden sands and sea
we seized the moment just you and me
Unaware as daylight turned to darkness
unaware of seagulls leaving one by one
We followed our heart as we did from the start
No one believed this to be true
for a beach to close and gates stuck like glue
This suits us fine as we witnessed stars shine
we stayed til the morning light
In between are memories that burn bright
Many moons later as we recall the tides
how fitting is it to be once more
Rocks still stand along golden sands
our time is set to be together chained
Wrapped within the arms of an open breeze
One major difference in this continuing tale
our one fine night then or now is not for sale

I wouldn't sell a night like that for anything. Beautifully written Lisa. This poem paints wondrous visions in my mind.

Thank you once again Chris for such a review and feedback. I'm glad I was able to see this before closing the computer. I look forward to reading more of your work tomorrow.
